Un Lugar Para Crecer (A Place to Grow)  

Un Lugar Para Crecer works to prevent adolescent pregnancies and HIV/AIDS. It focuses on improving the lives of vulnerable young mothers between the ages of 12-20. One project provides low-income teen mothers with business training and entrepreneurial skill through the making and selling of pasta, or “lacitos del amor” (love laces). The pasta sales are promoted at festive dinner parties that take place at one of the most appealing tourist spots in Villa Mercedes. During the dinner, Love Laces organizers explain the mission of the project.
