RAYONG YOUTH PROTECTION GROUP

The Hometown Legends Project seeks to strengthen the capabilities of youth groups through suitable channels of learning that support local lifestyle and traditions which have been handed down from generation to generation.

This project combines the local knowledge base with the enthusiasm and capabilities of children and youth groups to produce and distribute various community products such as natural tie-dyed fabrics, organic agri-products, herbal products, eco-tourist activities, and traditional Thai massage. These wide-ranging products and services have evolved from ancient folk wisdom and hence serve not only to generate income to finance future community activities, but also to preserve and pass on local traditions. Local youth groups also benefit by gaining fund-raising skills and experience, as well as production, management and marketing know-how.
